Gut Gremmelin: Best secluded hotel in Germany!
On the evening of September 4, 2006, the awards were presented in the Thuringian town of Zeulenroda for the best conference hotel in Germany. The ceremony included an award to Gut Gremmelin for the first prize in the section "secluded".
Gut Gremmelin is the most successful and popular secluded hotel in Germany – that was how it was summed up at the award ceremony. During the annual competition, the congress oasis located just outside Rostock that has only been in operation for the past few years, received votes from more than 4 000 trainers, advanced educationalists and conference organizers as best conference hotel in Germany.
Gut Gremmelin won in spite of stiff competition from a host of rivals, including renowned hotels in southern Germany. „I believe the guests at our hotel appreciate first and foremost our conscientious service. In addition to that, we have been distinguished as an "excellent" hotel and did not open our high- and low-level rope stations until spring. Guests also praise our cuisine time and time again“, was the comment "Lady of the Manor" Claudia Schaffhausen made on the award decision.
Originally a typical Mecklenburg baronial estate, its history can be traced back to the XIV century. In 1995, Lutz Schaffhausen and his family, who hail from Hamburg, acquired the property and initiated extensive reconstruction. Although Gut Gremmelin has proved itself over the past four years to be the perfect location for conducting seminars and (team) training, it can also be booked for all kinds of celebrations, including weddings. Claudia Schaffhausen and her team opted from the outset for a supraregional marketing strategy, cooperating with national airlines. Now, after winning the top award in the competition for the best conference hotels in Germany, the hotel once again underscores its claim as one of the leading conference hotels in Mecklenburg.
Apart from the first prize in the section „secluded“, the hotel also landed an excellent 9th place in the section "meeting".
The annual competition "Best Conference Hotels in Germany" is accompanied by a book with the same title which, together with the Internet website www.toptagungshotels.de, is published for the benefit of all those responsible for organizing a conference and, in view of the flood of offers on the market, seeking guidance in their search for the fitting venue.
